If you can not decide on just one picture to put on your desktop, how about using multiple images in a collage?
The application Cookiepix Lite is an easy to use editor that allows you to group as many pictures as you want to use as the bottom of your screen, putting individual frames and applying effects.
As the name "Lite" suggests, this is not the full version of the application, but that does not mean that it is very limited - no files with watermarks or restricted amount of uses, the only difference is the number of subjects available which in paid version is much higher.
Open the "Photo Browser" to find the images you want to use, it should be in the folder "Pictures" in the native system. This means that whenever you want to use the program, you first need to put in place all the photos you want to use the wall.
Drag the photos to the editor window, as shown in the image below in the order you want them to appear. For example, if an image needs to stay in the background of the other, it must be added first, since there is no control to change it later.
When all photos are added, you need to fix their positions, sizes and orientations. Click on an image and drag to where you want to put it. When you do this, a window with three sliders is shown, indicating the internal zoom, the size of Table and Full Tilt.
The Cookiepix Lite has borders to images and color effects, so your glue stick with an even more beautiful. You can modify it individually, so that each photo can have different frame and filter. Pay attention if the picture is horizontal (landscape mode) or vertical (portrait mode), because there are different options for each format.
The effects are applied individually and can not be used in conjunction with each other for the same picture. Click on the image and select one of the filters to test. If you do not like it, click the next or return to editing without choosing the option "None".
You can also modify the background putting a theme and a color. This part is quite limited in the Lite version, which has only a few bright colors and simple textures. When you finish editing, there are five options to save your work.
You can export to TIFF, export to iPhoto, save as wallpaper, save the library's own application (allows further editing) or send it to services like Flickr and Facebook. To purchase the paid version, click here to open the link with the Mac App Store.

our opinion:

Above you read a full description about CookiePix and functionality, now read what we think about the it.
CookiePix is a fantastic application, which is impressive even in its beta version. With it, you can quickly create wallpapers made from collages of your photos. It is very easy to use with an intuitive interface and automatic controls (eg, when the picture is selected, the individual edit field is already enabled), and has a visually organized, with all the tools in one window.
A great advantage is that you can integrate your Flickr account and Facebook and sending images directly to these services, and can save their own mounts on an album in iPhoto.
There are many options for more advanced assembly, since his goal is just to create collage to be used as wallpaper, so it can not be considered an image editor itself, being a tool with a distinct purpose.
Despite good, some points could be improved to make the application even better. Something that is lacking is the possibility of bringing forward the other photos or playing back, being necessary to define it's time to open the images. Another point that could improve is the inability to import photos from any folder, and only can use the directory "Pictures".
None of these drawbacks, however, makes the bad program or take your brightness: it is worthwhile to test the CookiePix and maybe buy the full version, if you want more options for borders and backgrounds.
