PuTTY is a client program to protoclos network SSH, Telnet and Rlogin. These protocols are used to run a remote session on a computer on a network. The software implements the client end of the session: the order in which the session is displayed, rather than the order in which it is executed.


In simpler terms: you run PuTTY on a Windows machine and tells him how to connect, for example, a Unix machine. PuTTY opens a window. So, anything you type into the window will be sent to the Unix machine and everything the Unix machine send back is displayed in that window. Now you can work with a Unix machine as if you were on your console.

Before installing " PuTTy " you can create a restore point in Windows, so if you do not like the program or if it does not work properly, you can simply restore the system to a point before you installed the program.Click here to learn how to create a restore point.
